Shipping continues as Sensel Wins SXSW Award!

Dear Backers,

Great news!  Last week at SXSW (South by Southwest) The Sensel Morph was awarded BEST OF SHOW at the Interactive Innovation Awards.  Some of the other finalists included Projects by Google and Microsoft, the room was filled with talent, and we are very honored to have taken home this award.  We could not have done it without you!

As mentioned in our last update, batches of Morphs have started to ship and will continue to ship through April.  If you ordered a Media Editing Overlay, you will receive your Morph and any other Overlays you ordered but the Media Editing Overlay will arrive separately in May.  The Media Editing Overlay has some delays and we did not want to further delay your Morph shipment, which is why it will be arriving separately.

We started shipping today!

Dear Backers,

The day you've all been waiting for has come!  We're so happy to tell you that we shipped our first units today and additional batches will be going out shortly.  Although shipping started today, the units will go out in batches and continue to be shipped throughout the end of March, so please be patient while waiting for your Morph.  

You'll know when your device ships because you will receive an email with tracking information. We will be shipping via FedEx.  Again, devices will be shipping through the end of March, so if you don't receive yours in the next couple of weeks, rest assured that it's still coming your way.

Please Remember: If you haven't already adjusted and double-checked your shipping address do so now via the backer survey as the addresses will be locked down by EOD tomorrow.

Per our last update,  we'll be shipping your devices fairly soon!  Please make sure that the address you have listed on your order is accurate as addresses will be finalized (and no longer adjustable) in the next couple of days.  If you'd like to change your address, please do so here as soon as possible.

We're Almost There!

Dear backers,

We have some exciting news:  We've just completed our initial 500 unit build!  This means that the devices are still on track to begin shipping at the end of this month throughout the beginning of March.   

Even more exciting news, we've passed FCC testing.  We now comply with FCC part 15B an CE Low Voltage Directive’s EMC requirements.  Some of the testing we did includes Emissions, Immunity, and ESD.  We've also secured the PCBs for the Innovator's Kit.  This adapter allows Morphs to communicate via serial to external embedded devices like Arduinos, take a look!

We also wanted to share our latest challenge with you.  Recently we were at a Hackathon and noticed that some of the USBs that we'd planned to ship with the Morphs were having connectivity issues.  We're happy to have caught this issue early, the team sprang into action and ordered higher-quality cords to make sure you have the best possible functionality with your Morph.

We want to thank all of you for your ongoing patience and support.  Without you, our dream to build these devices would never have become a reality.  We can't wait to get the Morph in your hands!

Overlay Samples In The Flesh!

Dear Backers,

A few members of the Sensel team are hard at work in China as we speak!  They are at our partner's factory, where the first 5 Overlays are currently being made, to make sure that they're as perfect as can be.  We're very happy with the way they came out and hope you are too!
